I feel like a best seller

When I started out on my writing journey, my only hope was that someone would read my book and post a review.

That was in April of 2020, when I self published the first Michael Saxon book 'Waterloo.' for Young Adults

Since then I have followed that up with Michael Saxon Trafalgar. A poetry book called Light and Dark and now my first adult novel,

Helga 'Tears of blood.'

I love telling stories, and now that I have more time, I can spend my days in the creative world rather than the real one.

Both Michael Saxon books did far better than expected for a niche market, and I plan to write at least one more.

However the biggest suprise so far, has been the reaction to Helga 'Tears of blood.' The first in a series I plan to write following the life of a traumatised young Pict girl who is taken to Norway and becomes a Viking warrior.

Not only has Helga sold in both Hardback and paperback, I have had over one thousand ebook downloads so far. Which catapulted Helga to BEST SELLER status in two Amazon categories.

In truth I was shocked, and never expected to see such a response.

The reviews are starting to come in and the initial reaction is good hitting mostly 4 and 5 stars.

The thought that, that so many people will be reading my book, from around the world, is thrilling. and encourages me to want to write more.

I have several ideas, not only in historical fiction, but in other genres too.

I am currently writing a ghost/crime story which I hope to complete this year, as far as the writing is concerned. It will probably be published next year if all goes well. I am also researching Helga 'The Journey' (book 2 in the series) which takes our hero to Ireland and Scotland.

And then of course there is Michael Saxon book three to research and write. Not yet certain where our teenager might go next, in his time-slip adventures.

Last but not least I am putting together another poetry book to follow on from Light and Dark. This one is called 'Into the darkness' and will contain a collection of dark poems I have written over the years.

So Busy times a head and I wouldn't want it any other way.
